Chamath Palihapitiya, a part-owner and director of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors and the venture capitalist founder and CEO of Social Capital, offered the "very hard ugly truth" about China’s human rights abuses against Uyghur Muslims in a podcast interview.
Palihapitiya appeared on the "All-In Podcast" on Saturday. He made his remarks about Uyghur Muslims after his co-host Jason Calacanis praised President Biden for his decision to ban the import of goods made through forced Uyghur labor.
"Nobody cares about what’s happening to the Uyghurs, OK? You bring it up because you really care and I think it’s nice that you care. The rest of us don’t care. I’m just telling you a very hard, ugly truth. Of all the things that I care about, yes, it is below my line. Of all the things that I care about, it is below my line," Palihapitiya said.

When co-host David Sacks said it’s just not top of mind for most people, Palihapitiya pushed back.
"That’s not caring. … I care about the fact that our economy can turn on a dime if China invades Taiwan. I care about climate change. I care about America’s crippling and decrepit health care infrastructure. But if you ask me do I care about a segment of a class of people in another country? Not until we can take care of ourselves will I prioritize them over us," Palihapitiya said.

I care about any humans that are enslaved and exploited - humans are created in the image of God.
I care about the German Jews in 1939, I care about the Armenians slaughtered by the Turks in 1916, I care about the POWs in Andersonville in 1864.
I care about the American Indians, and the poor whites in Appalachia.
I care about the little black babies that are torn limb from limb at Planned Parenthood facilities.
The things that break God's heart should break ours, also.
That’s fine because I don’t care about him, the Golden State Warriors or the NBA.
Well, I take that back. I care enough to say...
I hope they all FAIL.
hinduism at work.
“Nobody cares about what’s happening to the Uyghurs, OK?”
No, NOT OK. A LOT of us do care.
How many threads have you commented on defending the muslims of Myanmar?
Question was a cheap shot.
If he said he cared, then the follow-up is, “Well, then what are you doing about it?”
I’d have liked to heard that question turned back on the one asking it: “What am I doing...? What are YOU doing? You’ve got no grounds to sit there and expect me to give to any cause you’re not.”
Also, don’t miss that he inasmuch said it’s not that the Uighur situation doesn’t bother him, it’s just that it’s not on his list of priorities. It’s entirely humanly possible to care that something is wrong, and not do anything.
Think how much mail you get soliciting money for this or that. You care about all linds of issues, but you’re not pumping out checks right and left. You’ve likely got a handful of places you give to periodically, and the rest go without no matter what.
So, I don’t know why anybody should get their stem wound if some rich guy is handling his charitable giving in exactly the same way.
I was trying to think up a response and you said it for me. What’s wrong with having moral principles ? This is the Realpolitik of globalism and they just don’t care. He said the hidden part out loud. I have the feeling that if he could organ harvest from children in Appalachia and turn a profit he would gladly do it.
Maybe we should deport this a-hole.
The creature Chamath Palihapitiya is below my line. I wouldn’t piss on it if I encountered on fire.
Well, he comes from a country that has no regard for teh human rights of its minorities, either.
If someone asks a general question on a thread I'm perusing, I normally provide an answer.
Like this.
“Dude is a PoS “
Why do you say that?
And playing with himself will really make a difference.
Because he’s a phony leftist and all NBA types are PoSes.
Or redefine something that's been going on for millions of years as "a crisis." You can make that work if you have total media supremacy.
He can easily redeem himself by talking about the "dangers of climate change", and how badly "people of color" are treated in the US, so we must address that issue first, before being concerned about human-rights abuses in china.
He will pivot as described above, and the media will give him a pass (especially the sports media) because they are all beholden to the ccp.
I care about innocent Uyghur children. If it is a radical muslim adult, I don’t.
Of all the things that I care about, it is below my line,” Palihapitiya said.

So, Chamath Palihapitiya cares about playing cards while flying around in his private jet AND the Chinese Communists buying his basketball product but doesn’t give a damn about “people” and “children” being purposefully starved to death by these Chinese Communist bastard savages.
Yes, but he went ahead and granted her request, and commended her faith as being greater than he’d seen in Israel.
Slavery just doesn’t matter to him. The blacks who “work” for him need to think about that. He may pay his slaves but he still owns them....body AND soul.
