What the heck are “gun violence researchers”?

For all that matter, what the heck is “gun violence”?

I think that's when one gone assaults another. I keep most of mine confined in a dark, cramped place almost all the time. You would think, forced to endure that sort of environment, one would have cracked by now and gone off on all the others. However, every time I look, they are right where I left them. No attacks on each other. Mine must be defective.

In this case, they are referring to the publicly funded anti-gun “Violence Prevention Research Program” headed up by the pathological liar Garen Wintemute at UC Davis.

If you’ve been involved in any RKBA activities in California, you’ll remember Wintemute. He’s been around since the late 80’s, and was one of the first to suggest hanging civil liability on legal gun manufacturers for the criminal misuse of their products. He was a part of the “saturday night special” gun ban crowd in the 80’s and 90’s, and has been a central figure in conflating suicide risk with gun ownership.

He’s a real piece of work.

And now he knows the who owns exactly what guns, and how many, in California. There’s no other way to sugar coat it.
