It wasn't just some kiddie Christian day camp he shot up... It was a Communist indoctrination camp teaching young adults, not just kids, to be better Communists.

Not excusing what he did in any way, but he was a monster killing monsters in the making.

IMHO, when adults decide to become active marxists, communists, etc., and taking life, liberty and happiness from others, they forfeit being human and deserve no quarter.

The history of communism (I think) would support my opinion.

I've made it no secret that Stalin had my GreatGrandparents "disappeared" during the holodomor for the crime of being kulaks. Farmers.
Mass murder, absent an open declaration of war civil or otherwise, does not strike me as a "healthy" means of resistance.

History does set a precedent for violent action. Some would suggest that we are possibly at that historic tipping point already. Maybe we are. Maybe not.

Pray we can still "fix" this without having more people like this lunatic take actions like these.
