The surgeon general of the United States believes Joe Rogan's top-rated podcast should be censored because of its interviews with prominent health scientists who come to conclusions based on assessments of data and studies that contradict some of the evolving stances of the Biden administration.
A day after vintage rocker Neil Young told Spotify to choose between his music and Joe Rogan's podcast, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy lamented Tuesday that social media platforms are not doing enough to "stop the spread" of misinformation."
Prefacing her question for Murthy, MSNBC'S Mika Brzezinski said Rogan's podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience," has "promoted unproven methods for treating COVID-19 and downplayed the need for vaccines."
Expressing exasperation, Brzezinski asked, "Dr. Murthy, what do you think are the best ways to push back on misinformation about COVID that continues to be aggressively pushed, whether it be Joe Rogan's podcast or all over Facebook?"
"Well, Mika, it's such an important question," he began, "because we can have the best science available, we can have the best public health, we can have the best public health expertise available, but it won't help people if they don't have access to accurate information."

The best answer to Mika’s question about spreading “misinformation” is to present both sides, not merely presenting the Biden’s administration unproven statements as fact.
The real news here is that the surgeon general of the United States is calling for censorship. “Their” should be impeached for violations of the constitutional rights of citizens, convicted and then tried in a criminal court.

This is really scary stuff. Politically incorrect personal opinion is now being classified as either “misinformation” or outright “hate speech”.
And then comes the censorship. My sad prediction: This sort of thing is only going to get worse.
If this really happened, I think eventually Spotify will cave regardless of their investment in Rogan.
A number of their employees have threatened to quit, Neil Young wants his music removed, the Surgeon General wants him censored.
I think eventually a number of really big music stars will demand their music be removed from Spotify which will be coordinated with people in Government probably to include Fauci and Biden all wanting Rogan censored, in the end Spotify will cave when all this comes together.
The calculation will be made by Spotify that the loss in revenue by all the music artists threatening to leave will be greater than the cost of dumping Rogan.
If Rogan is dumped it will leave a major opening for someone like Substack or Rumble to sign him up and keep going.

That’s something the leftists never do. Present an argument or point of view and then back it up with verifiable facts. Instead, if you say they don’t make sense they start with the character assassination or even just basic name calling.
At best, leftists will sit there and refuse to respond to your assertions. As an anecdote, I have a leftist co-worker who is pro-gun control. I asked him what he’s going to do if, god forbid, a home invader has his wife and is trying to rape her. He said Call the police, of course. I said by the time the police get there she is already raped. You can’t undo that. Are you just going to stand there and let it happen? He said no, he would get a knife\bat\whatever is at hand and beat the guy away from her. I asked him how that is different than having a gun when a single punch from a fist can kill. He had no response, but I doubt I changed his mind about anything. Reason doesn’t matter. They are too in-bed with their thinking and can’t see another direction (just like this vastly unqualified bureaucrat).
