That’s what their media is saying. But there has been no evidence of it. Unless you have videos or actual reports, I think it’s propaganda to ruin the vibe.

You overestimate the importance of any sport that is not hockey(or possibly curling or lacrosse) outside of Toronto.
In class on Friday I brought up Bonds and Clemens as an example to illustrate some point and it went over like a lead balloon— exactly one student was able to associate them with baseball (and this in a class with a plurality of Ontarians, where the Blue Jays play). Out of curiosity I then brought it up in the second section with precisely the same level of recognition, but accompanied by the observation that “baseball really isn’t a Canadian thing.”
There are arguments for baseball originating in Canada, and likely there is much more interest in it than soccer, but outside of hockey (and perhaps TOronto) people don’t care about sports here in the way they do in the U.S.
And that apathy extends to soccer.
I watched this video of one of Canada’s leading advocates of freedom Ezra Levant of Rebel News. He said he was worried about a “Ray Epps” showing up....
Well according to the Trudeaus of the world, Hockey is the sport of “ignorant white rednecks”, while Soccer and Basketball are much more “inclusive” don’cha know.
That sounds ridiculous now, but give it a generation or two.

Read some stuff here on FR about media reporting Confederate flag(s) at the convoy rally. I watched the live videos from Ottawa for quite a few hours yesterday and did not see one. Did any FReeper see one there? Does anyone have an image or video of the Stars and Bars being flown from “the bed of a PU truck” or anywhere else?
At one point I thought I caught a glimpse of one, but it turned out to be a Quebec flag with a red X superimposed on it.

Yes he’s concerned bad actors could sabotage the demonstration. But you said “ There are actors in Ottawa right now leftists acting like freedom protesters and undercover RCMP doing the FBI thing Up North. “. And there is no evidence anyone is there ‘right now’. So yea they should stay vigilant and I believe the truckers are. Ezra only said he is concerned about something occurring because he knows how the govt operates, he didn’t say the bad actors were actually there.

Justin claims he is not hiding but in Covid isolation since he tested positive. In other words, it is because he is VERY CONSIDERATE of other people’s health. Whether you believe him or not is another story.
Heck, there were some who are saying that his vaccine jabs were faked. But who knows what’s true anymore...
