Good for Scooter, he is siding with a washed up, loser anyway. No way an outsider like Trump will overcome his decades of political friendship with the Cheney’s. He has no influence with the rank and file anyway.
Trump did the right thing even if Scooter supports Cheney. I don’t expect Scooter to kneel and kiss the ring on Trump’s finger, but he would be a Judas if he came out and directly oppose Trump because he was Trump.
But if it makes you feel better, Blago out of Illinois, a pardoned donkey, is a lot more gracious and thankful for Trump’s pardon. That speaks volumes over Scooter’s predictable GOPe behavior.
All are missing the obvious - Scooter Libby would wash the highway if he could be accepted by his establishment friends on both sides of the aisle from Yale and the Establishment. He is ashamed of being in the debt of the Trump supporters and will never acknowledge it bc the only thing worse than prison for him is to be considered “one of them” (us). This form of social dementia strikes even the dumbest among us, such as GW Bush; didn’t you see the latter making a fool of himself at last year’s Inauguration, congratulating Clyburn for making Biden “president”, falling all over himself to denounce Trump, hoping to ingratiate himself with people whom a few years earlier had called him every conceivable name? The fool was never one of us, neither was his old man or his mother, Barbara, nor certainly his wife with the bad driving record - they despised the bulk of the party except when it came time for elections. That’s why I was so glad to dunk Bush Sr. by voting for Perot; he may have been crazy but at least he was genuine.
