Probable suspects right now are going to be Muslims and Russians.

Seriously, with the Cold War back from vacation I’d expect FSR (KGB by another name) to be running operations against Western Europe. Chances are the two cops happened into the middle of an operation and got themselves ambushed.

Exactly. Between dash cams, body cams, and CCTV mounted on every lamp post, there has to be video of the perps or their getaway vehicle.

Kaiserslautern—which the Americans call K-Town and the Germans call Lautern—was the home to many Americans because of nearby Army and Air Force bases during the Cold War. When I was living about 60 miles away in Saarbrücken, the radio station in Kaiserslautern operated by the Armed Forces Radio Network kept me up to date on US news and Top 40 hit songs.

I don’t know how it is now but when I was living in Germany in the ‘60’s the people were scared to death of the police, very respectful and generally very tidy and law abiding. The police were extremely impressive, efficient and disciplined. Many of them were WW2 vets and looked it!!

The Polezi on the BMW motorbikes have an Uzi in one of the rear saddlebags. Just sayin.

Sounds fishy with the no information thing tho.
