Three top commanders of a US Navy Construction Battalion (SeaBee) unit were dismissed last week due to “a loss of confidence in their abilities” following an investigation.
The triad of officials overseeing Amphibious Construction Battalion 2 — commanding officer Capt. Jeffrey Lengkeek, executive office Cmdr. Michael Jarosz, and command master Chief Matthew Turner — were fired Friday, with the service citing a “loss of confidence in their abilities to effectively perform their leadership roles” in a press release.
Lt. Cmdr. Paul Newell, a spokesman for Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, told Navy Times that the three men’s ouster followed “a formal command investigation.”
“While the investigation remains open, we do not intend to take further disciplinary action against the triad members at this time,” Newell said.

“Lt. Cmdr. Jason M. Gabbard, the unit’s XO, was relieved after being discovered in the woods wearing only his boots following a command gathering for chiefs and officers, Navy officials said.
The commanding officer, Cmdr. James J. Cho, and Command Master Chief (SCW/EXW) Jason K. Holden, were also relieved for their handling of the incident, which they attempted to cover up, a source told Navy Times.”

Well of course they’re going to cover it up. The guy was naked in the woods. (What a weird story.)
Was I wrong? Should I not have done that?
In the old Navy, it was, "Let's handle this at the lowest possible level." In the new Navy, it's, "Don't be the most senior man with a secret."
“These are people with different names than the story in this posting.”
I’ve posted multiple times stating these are two totally different stories, but everyones just keeps thinking they are the same. The naked guys story is from 2018.
The Post screwed up the master chief’s photo. They have some commander’s photo instead.
When I was a 2LT in an mech Infantry unit. The 2/77 Armor battalion was next to our unit. The 2/77 had a Dining In at the North Fort Lewis officers club.
Things got a bit out of control. They had hired strippers to dance which led to two CPTs engaging in “carnal knowledge” with them. The situation got so bad and no effort by the BN CDR to stop it, the club manager called the post officer of the day, who then called 9th Inf Division Commander who showed up in his pajamas.
I knew a couple LTs who vacated the AO early in the evening; that was a very smart move. The result was the 2/77 CO and XO were relieved on the spot and the two CPTs got Article 15s.
