The Russian military said today it caught a US submarine in its far-east waters and drove it out with 'appropriate means' after the vessel ignored a Russian request to leave, Interfax news agency has reported.
The encounter came as Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden held a high-stakes phone call, as a tense world watched and worried that a Russian invasion of Ukraine could begin as soon as Wednesday.
Biden warned his Kremlin counterpart that the United States 'will respond decisively and impose swift and severe costs on Russia' should it invade Ukraine.

Ukraine's President Zelensky already complained that this war-hype is ruining Ukraine's economy. People were running on banks, hoarding goods, prices are spiking, investors have fled, etc... this isn't the sort of thing a country recovers from very quickly.
It seems to me that the actual people of Ukraine, or the stability of the country and its government count for zero in Biden/Blinken's scheming.

We have had about 50 Special Operations troops training the Ukrainians on the Javelin anti tank and Stinger surface to air manpads.
They were in the far western part of Ukraine.
There are no combat troops in Ukraine from the US nor NATO.
