This suit was brought by several Democrats in Congress and U.S. Capitol Police officers.

“Mehta’s decision also reminds us of the important role an independent judiciary plays in the battle to preserve a civic order in which facts matter and no one can defy the law with impunity.”

Next term Trump needs to actually drain the swamp for real.

How many Federal judges can he fire? If all of them it’s a start.

The HILL:

” “To deny a president immunity from civil damages is no small step,” Mehta wrote. “The court well understands the gravity of its decision. But the alleged facts of this case are without precedent, and the court believes that its decision is consistent with the purposes behind such immunity.””

The HILL:

“Whatever the outcome of the civil case against Trump or of the Jan. 6 Committee’s work, those judges, like Mehta, who respect evidence serve history.”

The HILL:

“Establishing a record that memorializes Trump’s effort to undo the Constitution and that exposes his blatant efforts to distort the truth about the election serves history — and may also serve to strengthen the current fragile state of our democracy.”

Somethings that definitely works for. Judges aren’t on of them.

Firing US Attorneys is barely a start. It needs to go several layers above and below them. Very tough without Congressional authorization.

If you would like to know which RINO’s voted for Judge Meta, assume they all did. He was confirmed by a voice vote, not a recorded vote. Apparently the GOP Senators chose not to go on record.

The President can fire no federal judge. The Constitution gives Congress overbite of judges. The House of Representatives has the power to impeach a judge in the House and hold a trial in the Senate to convict and remove.

In the last 30 years how many federal judges have been impeached and convicted by Republican majority Congresses? The answer is — zero.

Alcee Hastings was impeached AND removed. Then he got a federal job in a fully corrupt government body, the US House.

House and Senate were both Dem at the time. That’s why removal excluded the normal inclusion of a prohibition of public office. A joke of a deal.

“Alcee Hastings was impeached AND removed.”

The Republicans did not control Congress when Alcee Hastings was impeached and convicted. Believe it or not a Democrat majority Congress did the deed!

Republican Congresses don’t impeach, much less convict federal judges. They did vote to impeach President Bill Clinton but the Republican’s in the Senate did not convict him. Five Republicans joined all 45 Dems in voting Not Guilty. The infamous RINO Arlen Spector voted “not proved” which presiding Justice Roberts interpreted to be a “not guilty” vote.

Consider GOP House Speakers Gingrich, Hastert, Boehner, and Ryan had no interest in going after corrupt federal judges. Certainly the Democrats aren’t going to go after Dem judges who ignore or reinterpret the Constitution. If Congress won’t rein in the judiciary, it will continue to perpetuate a two tier justice system and arbitrary rulings based on the opinions of individual judges, not the letter of the law.

When it comes to Republican majorities in Congress, they have no backbone. They don’t reign in spending, they don’t defund Planned Parenthood, PBS, Obamacare, they hold hearings but never do anything about corrupt officials. They also won’t fund a border wall. You can be sure though they will vote all types of tax breaks and loopholes for big donors and will dole out billions in corporate welfare.

All true.

When it comes to presidential impeachments, democrats EVERY time vote their team - NEVER crossing sides. Johnson, Clinton, Trump . . . democrats NEVER break ranks. Republicans need that kind of backbone.
