Republicans need to do as the democrats would. Open an investigation and drag it out until after the Election. Release tidbits of info and spin a narrative no matter how outlandish. Keep pushing. Add donors and other democrats to the investigated. Then if there is no crime, quietly go away after the reputational damage is done. Add some reporters with close connections to the list to be investigated.

If what was said about Buttiegieg was true, I’d say there was a crime,so investigating before the election should be completely acceptable....EXCEPT for the fact that he is a Democrat, so it is rather meaningless by their terms. It’s certainly something the Dems would go forward with if the suspect was a Republican, so turnabout is surely fair play.
