I visited the Museum of the Bible about three years ago but was turned off by their use of BCE (before the Communist era) and CE (Communist era) instead of BC and AD for dates.

That would stop me. I hate that anti-Christian notation.
BCE and CE were created as a way of bastardizing the Gregorian Calendar.
There are standard dating methods that could be used (BP or YA) but they don't have the anti-Christian component.

That stands for Before COMMON Era, not Communist. Communism didn’t exist in Jesus’ day.
