Those Javelin Missles are awesome, but they can't stop Ivan all by themselves.

What they would be excellent for is combine them with Stinger anti-aircraft missiles and use them like the mujahideen in Afghanistan, turn Ukraine into one large guerilla war and make the life of the Russians miserable, perhaps throw in IEDs and see what happens.

He will never be able to hang onto that country. If Russia thought Afghanistan was bad wait until he sees what is in store if he manages to take Ukraine.

Initially believed that the spirited Ukrainians fighting on their own terrain were doing a very credible defense and had a chance to making this a catastrophic quagmire for the Russians. They are still fighting hard and causing real problems for the Russians, militarily, economically and politically. However when that Russian “forty mile column” just north of Kiev just sat there, was never attacked by long range artillery, mortar or sapper teams ( as the NVA and VC did in Vietnam) especially since the Ukrainians know the terrain, came to the conclusion that the Ukrainians are simply not capable of resisting effectively much longer. Try to imagine if such your capital city had a hostile, long column of vehicles, supplies and troops sitting in the open for two days. Are there not any daring imaginative Ukrainian commanders?

Strategically, Putin's advance on Ukraine began well over a decade ago, when he invaded and Balkanized Georgia by recognizing the Kremlin's puppet regimes in the regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

In 2014, Putin occupied and annexed the strategic Ukrainian region of Crimea, which served as a launchpad for the current invasion.

Putin paid little price for either action.

Forgot to note that both were preceded by CIA/Soros Color-revolutions.

Another point everyone needs to be honest about if they wish to see the world clearly - the USA is not the only country which feels it has a right to have a "Monroe Doctrine."

I’m sorry I’m so behind the technology, but what the heck is the flame coming out of the back of the launcher, when there’s nothing coming out of the missile? How does the launcher work?
