The deep and widespread rasputitsa, which bogs even the lightest vehicles in the mud, is amplified by the enormous weight of the missile system and truck infrastructure, sinking the army trucks deeper, putting enormous pressure on what may be substandard tires. And the supply network for replacements appears to be sorely challenged....

Or they are still negotiating and holding back while the negotiations are still taking place.
And here I thought it was the brilliant “Gas for Vodka” program that my old fraternity would have endorsed in a heartbeat.
Of course the Russians have never seen snow and wouldn’t know what to do if they ran into some… and heaven forbid there’s mud somewhere.
Or just ran out of gaz. Damn stuff’s now too expensive for army trucks to burn when you can sell it to rich Americans.

Every day then works in favor of the Ukrainians, and against the Russians. If they cannot manuever in the mud, they are very vulnerable to several types of attack.
This is the classic case of “Those who know are not talking. Those who are talking do not know.”

The Russians own the airspace.
It’s basically the Russians saying, “Either your brains or your signature will be on that piece of paper.”
They would be sitting ducks if the Ukraine had attack planes like the A-10, or artillery like G-MLRS.

Ukrainians have reported plenty of air attacks by both planes and drones over the last couple of days.
