Cue the attacks on yet another dud of a Trump pick. Look I like Trump but at some point you realize you can’t have it both ways. Either Trump is terrible at working with people or he’s terrible at picking people. I might have been willing to cut him some slack if things turned out differently in 2020. But maybe its better for him to play kingmaker next time.

Understand that Trump can only choose from a list handed to him by Schumer and McConnell.

In other words, a President doesn’t get to pick and choose because ..... politics.

Contrast that with what Trump did in the private sector where he chose the very best.

Keep in mind Trump donated his salary and didn’t have to do this, then ask why in hell is he doing it?

He’s always been clear on the answer, he loves the country and the People. He was told what was coming and that it didn’t have the best interests of Americans in mind. Trump knew Hillary Clinton would be the worst thing for America.

President Trump would have been better off appointing nobody. IIRC, No requirement in the Constitution that President has to have a cabinet.

Should have fired everybody possible and send the rest home until people he chose as advisors from HIS list ran things.

Trump didn’t have a choice. McConnell was never going to allow any of Trumps potential choices to receive Senate approval. That is why who never recessed the Senate for 4 years because Trump could have gotten someone he wanted recess appointed. The deep state/McConnell made sure that they had one of their own in every position.

Look I like Trump but at some point you realize you can’t have it both ways. Either Trump is terrible at working with people or he’s terrible at picking people.

A Hobson's choice which is bullshit.

Either you are stupid or you are ignorant is another example of a Hobson's choice.

You may or may not be stupid or ignorant or {from your posting} you may be both, but I like how you start with the disclaimer, "Look, I like Trump BUT" where everything before "BUT" is pure bullshit.

You don't have to like Trump, just say it, you think Trump should take a back seat to someone that can "pick good people".

I'm glad you were never in my foxhole.

Bill Barr had several jobs he was given 1) Contain President Trump and hamstring him by continuing the bogus investigations into him and making sure he was not adequately defended. 2) Allow the “summer of love” to go unhindered and unprosecuted to make the President look weak. 3) Turn a blind eye to election fraud so as to allow enough “votes” to be dumped at midnight to select Biden. Finally President Trump didn't have a bench of professional Washington insiders who were loyal to him as he was a outsider and he was forced to pick from the list establishment insiders who he was told were the only ones he could get approved. These choices were of course dedicated to obstruction of the American first agenda. The Republicans worked together with the Democrats to get rid of the President because both parties enrich themselves with the America Worst agenda versus President Trump's America First agenda.

Maybe in the end, Trump’s accomplishment was exposing the snakes for what they were.

Politically inexperienced Trump could have done much better with EOB appointments, but his cabinet choices were at the mercy of a Senate that that did not support him. His next term should turn-out better.
