“Businesses are going to very reluctantly invest in that sector now.”

Especially since the boards of many oil and energy companies have been captured by the “ESG” (Environmental / Social / Governance) radicals. You’d have to be crazy to invest in an industry where the heavy hand of out-of-control government regulation is one step away from nationalizing your assets.

YEA AND AMEN! We spend 750 BILLION per year on our defense budget. Spending 5 or 10 billion on a 30-40 year oil pipeline of national strategic importance is just as neccessary.

IF you have a CONTRACT, the courts should be able to enforce it on any future attempt by a future president to ignore it.

The original Contract With America, the Constitution of the United States, appears more often ignored than enforced these days.

On day one of the Second Trump administration he needs to issue an executive order requiring Keystone to be built immediately. If we have to publicly subsidize its construction, do be it. Same goes for the Wall. Day one. Build.

It is vital that these things be shoved down Leftists’ throats at all costs.

Destroying the oil industry is Democrat dogma.

Yep, right alongside their Prime Directive, KILL THE BABY.

"Pipe fitting union backs Biden, despite his vow to stop the Keystone XL pipeline

The nation’s pipe fitting and plumbing union is throwing its weight behind presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in the race for the White House, despite the former vice president’s opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline.

The endorsement from the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters — UA for short — comes as Biden and his running mate, Sen. Kamala D. Harris (D-Calif.), are set to formally accept the Democratic nomination this week. Mark McManus, the UA’s general president, acknowledged his union, which has 359,000 members in the United States and Canada, doesn’t see eye to eye with Biden on every issue but said the presumptive Democratic nominee is a longtime labor ally who wants to invest millions of dollars in water infrastructure projects that would employ its members."

The only issue with that is whether the Canadian oil companies have already signed long-term contracts for that oil to be transported elsewhere by the time that 2025 rolls around.

So you’re saying there’s no hope.
We shouldn’t even bother with 2022 & 2024.

Dimocrats have a history of this b.s. When Carter got in office, one of the first things he did was cancel the B1 program immediately causing hundreds of layoffs throughout the defense industry; he also canceled the Meramec Dam project in Missouri. That debacle caused many to lose their life savings.

Nothing is too late though; nothing is impossible. Not when Americans are truly in charge and working together. There is no problem that can't be solved through true American ingenuity.
