Biden announces U.S. will move to revoke Russia's "most favored nation" trade status

UPDATED ON: MARCH 11, 2022 / 12:44 PM / CBS NEWS

President Biden announced Friday that the U.S., European Union and G7 countries are moving to revoke Russia's "most favored nation" trade status over its invasion of Ukraine. The U.S. will also take steps to ban the import of Russian seafood, diamonds and vodka, he said.

"Each of our nations is going to take steps to deny most favored nation status to Russia," he announced. "A most-favored-nation status designation means two countries have agreed to trade with each other under the best possible terms — low tariffs, few barriers to trade and the highest-possible imports allowed."

This along with other sanctions already in place will do more than making China and Russia closer to each other. It will make Russia a satellite country of China because Russian economy will have to completely depend on China.

The same should have been done to China (even 10 years ago).

Not quite.
India has refused to impose any sanctions on Russia as well, like most countries in Asia.
Asia accounts for a massive 60% of the world’s population and most of them don’t give two hoots about Biden and his sanctions.
Yet another empty gesture from Dementia Joe.

Biden is going to destroy the American economy. It’s like being trapped in lifeboat with a madman trying to deflate the boat. All over his precious Ukraine who bribes him and his family.
Now we are seeing why Ukraine/Biden corruption matters.
That damned corrupt little country has taken over DC since the Obama days.

I think Ukraine is a junior partner of U.S. in a big corruption scheme. China used to be a full partner.

China has been screwing us for years...especially for imports...only 15 oz cans...not 12 oz...stupid stuff like that.

We import much too much. I hope companies start realizing that their manufacturing BASE AND MANUFACTURING FACILITY belongs in the USA and China is second.

Yet the Biden occupation remains at war with the USA judging by the sanctions still in place. Too bad nobody can ask him about that as he continues to hide and lets Ginger Goebbels do all the lying for him

Let us not forget, biden threatens Ukraine no money until you fire prosecutor investigating Hunter, Trump meets with zelynski forms a bond and a promise to look into things, trump zelynski phone call fury.

This is all payback for going against the regime change client state the rats created going back to Obama.

Now we find out there are a half dozen level 3 biolabs funded by us in the Ukraine.

Anyone want to speculate on the recent scamdemic we just endured?

“I hope companies start realizing” = really high import tariffs. That will make them realize it.
