When it comes to shift work in my experience there’s two kinds of people....ones that love night shift and ones that hate it....I’m in the latter...couldn’t stand it.
The grand daughter is now officially an RN and loves the night shift.
Her brother is an early riser, and he like his Dad prefers an early 8-10 hour shift. Start working at 6-7 am and finish an 8 to 10 hour shift and enjoy the afternoon.
A worthless hospital administrator was trying to force our GD to get booster shots, and she said no.
The head nurse and top doc in the Covid ICU where she worked told the head administrator to fire the looser admin A$$hole.
The good gals and guys said that she had worked that shift before she officially became an RN. Then, worked it as an RN and since the first of this month became the charge RN on her night shifts.
Most of the other RN’s hated that shift, she loved it, and she worked 3 - 12 hour shifts and was off for 4 days.
Making a long story short, the admin backed down on demanding boosters for her. If she has no fever, and passes the weekly quick test, she works for that week.
She may be like her Mother: One of the people, who don’t get the crud or any virus, in any form without being vaccinated.
Her Mother has never been sick from any cold or virus in her adult life.
Our GD missed one day of junior high/high school and zero days in Nursing school due to illness.

That’s a real problem now....some people think they have power and control they don’t really have....or don’t have anymore and refuse to let go.
The idiots in the Whitehouse are a perfect example.
The savings time thing, however, would go away if there’s no changing.
It just irks me that we’re using the “savings” rather than “standard” - which was meant to align 12:00 - not 1:00 - with the highest point in the sky (meridian).
PLUS, when changing back to standard from savings, we get MORE light in the morning again. So I’d like some morning light rather than it seeming so dark. Which it does now, this week, incidentally.
You know it’s funny, too, that they say it’s antiquated (which is arguable), when in fact they’re KEEPING the part that was meant to offset energy usage! We don’t NEED that light that late, do we, Senators? Or, maybe that’s the greenies getting their way - you don’t need to use lights! (But you may need more AC.)
