Yep, it’s not like “you get an extra hour of daylight”.
“There’s only so many hours in a day” and whenever I’ve been self employed, I hardly paid attention to the clock. I tend to wake up at daybreak or shortly before and I go to bed when I’m tired.

It never had anything to do with an agrarian society either.
The US first implemented it in 1918. Then got rid of it 7 months later. It was the farmers who wanted to get rid of it.
It did not become a standard until 1966.
