Move the capital to a medium-size town in Kansas. Watch Washington howl.
That won’t work. Eventually, the Kansas town will become Washington DC.
What is needed instead, is to move EVERY single agency to a different state.
Move the Department of Agriculture to Nebraska.
Move the Department of Energy to Texas.
Move the Health and Human Services to Maine.
Move the Department of Labor to North Dakota.
Move the Department of Education to Florida.
etc. etc. We need to break apart, root and branch, the centralized administrative state.
