The White House on Thursday released new ventilation and air quality guidelines for schools, colleges and other building owners and operators in an effort to reduce the risk of Covid-19 spreading indoors.
The guidance comes as many restrictions, including mask mandates, were lifted in recent weeks across the country as cases and hospitalizations continue to decline nationwide.

When the friends of THIS regime were setting all the fires in California and
Nevada, (My fire rescue buddies were SO happy that Professor that was setting
some of them was finally caught) and we were having Air Quality Index days
where we could’t see past 4 or 5 houses down the street because of 400-
500 PPM chewy air, I was happy I saw it coming and had good HEPA 13 air
filtration running in our house, keeping the PPMs indoors below 10, so that my
aging Dad wouldn’t be killed by prolonged (weeks) smoke inhalation.
I had bought more expensive Medify MA112’s, but if I was doing it again today,
I’d go for these, which use the same size and style filters.

Family friends got a couple for their big place, and they are very happy with the results.
If you’re homeschooling a neighborhood pod, something like this might be worthy of consideration.

Must fall under the seldom discussed ventilation clause of the Constitution.
First of all, Ms. Chow thinks the V in HVAC stands for “venting”...
But also, as a hospital facility manager, the average state of our buildings’ ventilation systems are abysmal. You don’t want to see the cooling coils serving critical areas (like L&D C section ORs) that have green slime growing in them. Total lack of maintenance. Hospital administrators don’t see value in maintaining their buildings and equipment unless there is a total failure in which case they spend astronomically more money and risk lives. They are more interested in purchasing things or people that make them money, not “cost” them money.
Newer OR HVAC systems do have UV lights installed in the air handlers - but half the time they are burnt out or not functioning.
