Sure, if you can go to prison for it, not if you happen to be untouchable. The ability of the media to pillory an enemy - Trump - for something sordid he didn't do, and to excuse a friend - Biden - for something sordid he most certainly did do, is itself an expression of power that is highly gratifying.
