A Purdue University professor of women's studies drew criticism for saying transgender UPenn swimmer Lia Thomas should be celebrated as a 'trailblazer' in the same way as Jackie Robinson and that her achievements are good for women's sports.
Cheryl Cooky - Purdue professor of American studies and of women's, gender and sexuality studies- claimed in an NBC op-ed piece that Thomas' victories should be highlighted as a historical first alongside Jackie Robison, who broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball.

I never thought of it till now but seems the whole gay/trans thing is simply self indulgence in wanting the same status of victimhood as blacks. But, in reality, it just makes whites look stupid and crazy.
I guess the analogy would hold assuming that Jackie Robinson was actually Stan Musial in blackface.

Here’s what needs to happen to stop this asinine crap- all the male swimmers should identify as female, and join hte female teams and totally dominate everything- by large margins- and just keep at it until women are basically sidelined because their performance can’t match that of hte men’s- That way the fella calling himself lia won’t be anyone in the spotlight, and it will highlight the fact that men should NOT be allowed in women’s sports-
Yes. Whenever we discuss Lia, we need to emphasis this historic link to the past. As trans have told us, this is a civil rights issue. African Americans will understand the significance.

For some reason, I don’t think woke Labron James will comment on this. He is like SCOTUS nominee Johnson, and couldn’t explain the definition of what a woman is.
Pretty soon the top women’s collegiate athletes will be as fast or strong as the craziest male athletes who almost made the team.

She has a point, women’s sports would be much more competitive and have much higher TV ratings if all the athletes were men and this is a solid first step in that direction.
I think having a single mediocre male swimmer go into women’s swimming and utterly dominate the sport, setting untouchable records shines the light better than anything else could. The optics of a man who simply could not compete at a high level as a man being allowed into a womens sport and instantly becoming its greatest of all time is pretty striking in pointing out the abject unfairness of it all.
A trailblazer because that thing between his legs is cutting a path.
This Trans factor has become a divisive distraction from the actual sports activity. Just establish a separate team for people of this description instead of misappropriating
(aka STEALING) the winning medals from girls.
The left celebrates male transvestites who enjoy dominating and beating women. They call the man a hero for putting women in their place. What a confused bunch of weirdos.
