Sounds like a regurgitated ‘domino theory’ to me...

Dear Kurt,

Can we please concentrate on fighting for our own country, which is currently collapsing? Really don’t give a damn about those two kleptocracies.

So we would be all okay if say Russia or China paid for bio-weaponresearch facilities near the border of Canada or Mexico?

Question for both of you: do you think it was a mistake for Reagan to do what he did to defeat the Soviet Union?

Is he a failed president because he only defeated communism but didn’t build the wall? (He even gave illegals amnesty)

Well, Kurt’s thinking will eventually get a lot of red state boys and girls coming home in caskets.

He knows this, too.

The Russians weren’t even interested in western Ukraine until oil was found there. Their interest is simply in raping that country. Russia gets 60% of its revenues from oil exports. Europe gets 40% of their oil from Russia.

In 2012 massive oil and gas reserves were found in Crimea. Crimea signed a $10 billion exploration contracts with Shell and Chevron to develop the new found oil and gas fields. These oil and gas products would compete in Europe with Russia’s oil and gas, reducing Russia’s oil revenues, which we recall amount to 60% of their total GDP. Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, cancelling the contracts with Shell and Chevron.

But Ukraine still had massive reserves in, you guessed it, Donetsk and Luhansk, and other areas East of the Dnieper River. In 2019, Energy Secretary Rick Perry visited Ukraine, and soon after Ukraine awarded exploration contracts to a consortium of U.S. oil companies. Again, these oil reserves would compete in Europe with Russian oil, so Putin is invading Ukraine to shut down this latest attempt to extract Ukrainian oil and sell it in competition with Russian oil.

This explanation makes more sense to me than the “Putin feels threatened by NATO expansion” excuses for the invasion.

If the Ukes allow some small region in the west to be its own republic, but the OIL belongs to Ukraine, do ya think Pootypoot would allow that? Nope.

I am not Ukrainian. I am not going to go fight and die over there. I don’t believe any other American should be sent to do so.

But if there were Russian tanks rolling through my town you had better believe I would spend every hour trying to kill as many of them as possible before they get me.

Would you do the same? It seems like you would be one of the guys welcoming foreign conquerors.

“Ever hear of walking and chewing gum at the same time.”

Show me some evidence that this administration is capable of it and maybe, just maybe, I’ll go along.

Do you have any?

Easy for Kurt to say.

Yeah, armchair warriors abound in the 21-century. IF the US didn’t have a near constant history of warfare outside of its own borders over the course of my lifetime, then I might be more accepting of engaging in this conflict...maybe. But with the perspective I have now, it’s just too clear. The Neo-Con vein of this nation IS the most dangerous and corrupt faction in our Republic. Without their war-mongering, the Leftists in this country have no vehicle to cram their philosophy down the throats of the nations of the world.

I find Schlichter’s articles to be obnoxious even when he writes something I agree with, but this one is pure toilet paper.

Yup. Both need to be done. Secure our border, yes, the right thing to do. Help “assure sovereignty” of Ukraine, yes, the right thing to do because we signed up to do it with the Budapest Memorandum. The Ukes honored it by giving up their nukes, the Rukes violated it twice by invading, and we’ve got pantywaist appeasers trying to find ways for the US to abrogate it.

“Ukraine should keep fighting”

Didn’t Hillary Clinton say that’s the plan - to use Ukraine to weaken Russia with a long-term guerilla war?

America is no longer a Christian nation, and our leaders, for the most part, are corrupt, power-mad satanists - so they are happy to see nations destroyed and in conflict for decades to achieve their goals.

“Trump secured the southern border AND ...”

No he didn’t. He may have tried better than anyone preceeding him, but the number of people pouring accross was quite high during his presidency. It’s almost as if the powers-that-be turned up the faucet (so to speak) in order to show exactly what he couldn’t get done.

Always fun watching the Liberaltarian surrender monkeys aghast that a nation would defend itself.
