Germany wants to end all fossil fuel imports from Russia, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said on Tuesday.
"Germany wants to completely phase out fossil fuel dependence on Russia," Baerbock told the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue conference.
"Germany has already halved its imports in the last few weeks, especially in hard coal, and we will not only halve this in all other areas, we will also completely phase out fossil fuels that come from Russia," she added.

The Russian economy will decrease in size over the next few years as export earnings go down.
China will not come to the rescue. They don't want to be dependent on a single source supplier either.
Fantastic opportunity for the USA! Oh wait, I forgot who’s in charge.
Putin being misled, U.S. official says - Reuters
“We believe that Putin is being misinformed by his advisers about how badly the Russian military is performing and how the Russian economy is being crippled by sanctions, because his senior advisors are too afraid to tell him”
Puking obviously is not playing 8 ply look ahead chess as his love sick Pooties beleive but was plaing poker, bluffing while holding a only a pair. His bluff is being called.
“Little Pukin has really screwed up.”
Yep, throw a few gas cans in the next cruise ship crossing the Atlantic and Putin is up the creek regarding energy exports!!!
Feckless and foolish. Putin has already made a deal with India which consumes 5 times the oil Germany does. More useless feel good crap you post.
Where do they expect to make up the difference? They don’t have nuke plants and we aren’t producing what we did while Trump was in office. The Saudis also told Europe that they aren’t increasing production. So, my hunch is that once this is over Germany will crawl back to the Russians for their energy. Because it’s the cheapest solution for them.
Trump lashes Germany over gas pipeline deal, calls it Russia's 'captive'
Russia is currently the second leading source of China’s oil imports, after Saudi. As Saudi is raising their prices and Russia is discounting theirs, that is likely only to increase.
The world’s second leading oil importer is India. India currently imports little Russian oil. Looking out for their own interests, India will find discounted Russian oil tempting, despite pressure from the West to cooperate with sanctions.

wants to.............................
did not, will not.
Putin is selling all the oil he wants—to India, China etc.
Germany’s virtue signaling is going to make life miserable for their citizens.
Those are the facts on the ground.
All the rest is Mockingbird mass media propaganda—that stuff rots your brain—don’t fall for it.
So Germany now *wants* to do what Trump wanted them to do 3 or so years ago? Do tell.
Germany better bring those nukes back online and build some more.
“Russia will not demand immediate switch to gas payments in roubles -Kremlin”
Little Pukin backed down?
Yep.
From CNBC:
India is snapping up cheap Russian oil, and China could be next
Since the beginning of March, five cargoes of Russian oil, or about 6 million barrels, have been loaded and are bound for India – set to be discharged in early April, said Matt Smith, lead oil analyst at Kpler.
“This is about half the entire volume discharged last year — a significant uptick,” he told
And oil is a fungible product. While transportation certainly plays into the equation, the net result of Euro and US virtue-signaling Russia bans will be minimal, as those markets buy and consume Russian production, which obviously affects worldwide price.
The biggest effect will be that those transaction will no longer be in dollars. This could be a terrible result for the US. And it may be intentional by those running Biden.
The Germans have come to embrace the Morgenthau Plan. They are now committing economic and cultural suicide.
