Democrats and their journalist allies can't stand Gov. Ron DeSantis (R., Fla.). Normal Americans, however, would much rather live in Florida than in Democratic-run hellholes where taxes are high and homelessness, crime, and political corruption are rampant.
The numbers don't lie. Americans are fleeing blue states such as California, Illinois, and New York at a rapid clip. Meanwhile, red states such as Florida, Arizona, and Texas have experienced an influx of domestic migration as their populations continue to boom.
DeSantis told reporters Thursday that one of the reasons for the robust demand in the Florida economy was the fact that "people are trying to get the hell out of these dumpster fire states that have just done so poorly." The governor is 100 percent correct.
Cry more, libs.

It depends on the type of people moving.
Florida has trended right against the national average since 2000, in part due to the fact that more of the people fleeing dumpster fires like New York and New Jersey and moving into Florida are retired and more conservative and they vote red when they get to Florida.
Contrast that to Georgia. The people moving to Georgia are wokester upscale whites who have invaded the Atlanta suburbs and inner city urban blacks from Detroit and Chicago who have moved into Atlanta proper.
As Florida has trended right, Georgia has trended left, both are partly due to migration, but it is a different type of people migrating to each State.
Red voting retirees who are sick of leftist politics in their States have helped Florida.
Blue voting rich wokesters and urban dwellers have destroyed Georgia in the same time period.
I think they are leaving the blue voting behind, I could be wrong, I think those fleeing NY, CA, and IL are naturally conservative people who have finally had enough of the hell holes where they live.
Many of the liberals are remaining, they have much more in common with high tax hell holes than in Florida.
So, the post the other day griping about all the out-of-staters moving to FL was just BS???

That’s the problem. They leave the poorly run states and continue voting for people who implement the same crappy policies the poorly run states have. People are stupid.

I’m in California, and I know some of the “outflow” people. I can tell you, it is a mixed bag. Many are indeed conservatives who are sick and tired of the nonsense and are getting the hell out. BUT some are leftist idiots who are moving because their employer has set up shop in AZ, TX etc. and has offered them a transfer or new position. And I can tell you, this latter group is most definitely bringing its blue voting ways with it. Watch out!

There is a massive new wave of growth under way and it will take years to unpack the results of it. Northwest Florida (Jacksonville area) is becoming more like the I-4 corridor of Florida every day. Trump got 60%-70% of the vote in the Jax suburbs in 2016. That’s never happening again for the GOP. The political parties will slowly even out in support here and be more reflective of the rest of the state.
The queers are starting to outnumber the steers here in Texas. Austin and Houston are already a mess and they’re working on Dallas and Fort Worth.
Most people on welfare (democrat parasites) don’t move. They stay in their subsidized HUD housing until they are forced to move (like after Hurricane Katrina).
Those moving OUT of Rat states are more than likely GOP voters.
ALL democrat run urban cities are equivalent to failed African states with enormous crime, corruption, vice and poverty, which is why I would not care if Putin incinerated those Rat cities with nukes.
