The latest Elabe poll published Saturday showed Le Pen garnering 47 percent of the vote in a second-round run-off against Macron, who was projected to win 53 percent.

Always the "far-right" label without ever stating what makes someone "far-right' vs. freedom loving conservative.
Maybe this Marine Le Pen is far-right, but I don't know.

I’d say she is more of a national-conservative than a freedom-loving conservative in the American mould.
That is, imho, the biggest difference between American (or traditional Anglo-Saxon) conservatism, which is influenced by the writings of Adam Smith and even John Locke (who was in many ways a classic liberal, but a devout Christian who regularly emphasized the importance of Biblical ethics and morals in everybody’s life).
In mainland Europe, matters of economy and personal freedom have always taken a back seat to the issues of preserving the nation and her strength, maintaining traditional cultural values and religion etc. I think one could say that mainland European (national) conservatism has always been more collectivist than its American cousin.
