I guess he must have realized that wasn’t happening when AL passed Constitutional Carry. 😏

Despite the popular opinion, not everybody who wears or wore a uniform is a hero. That includes police uniforms.

And here I had thought that Mo Brooks was by far the worst possible candidate for the Republican nomination for Senator from Alabama. A race to the bottom...

Of course, there are other players on the field, among them Katie Britt, former U.S. Senator Richard Shelby’s chief of staff. But that in itself is hardly a strong recommendation.

The race in Alabama is being bought up by someone.

Katie was born in 1984. She’s a Republican from a conservative family in a conservative town. It’s more likely that she’s Deep Alabama rather than Deep State. She wasn’t born in another state and moved here and turned conservative.

The Deep State has been trying to dirty up Brooks and now Durant to get their lobbyists and hand-picked Shelby (RINO-AL) successor, Britt, in a senator.

Hey mike! I am all for your proposal! As long as you start in the inner city areas of chicago, baltimore, St louis, detroit, memphis, houston. Then I would be all for it if you are successful. But I am betting you are not going to be very successful taking guns from the gang members and all those cities. And since you won’t be successful, I will just hang on to my guns for self-defense okay?

......why don’t we do it here?

It's surprising that a veteran helicopter pilot seems to have never heard of something called the US Constitution.

I guess he can count himself lucky I'm not an Alabama voter.

I assume you are referring to Leftists in the military?

Well, they have had 13 years to accomplish what they have, I believe Trump was unaware of the purge, given who he put in place at the Pentagon.

Maybe it could be done with martial law...but not any other way without disarming the good guys too.

“So is this guy a Deep State plant, or simply a clueless opportunist?”

He’s a standard issue product of a Federal military, the very “standing army” the Founders were concerned about.

Gun confiscation is routine for the military in “war zones”. So the answer is simple, right? Just declare entire swaths of the US to be “war zones” because they are inhabited by “White supremacist terrorists” and Voila! You can send in the MP’s to go house to house.

Hey, Sherman blazed the trail in Atlanta. Rights are only Rights so long as you genuflect to the psychopaths who insist they are in charge. Elections be damned, and pieces of paper...are just paper.

Durant was the helicopter pilot in Black Hawk Down. He was attacked by Somalian militias and everyone around him was killed. So he equates us with them - the Somalians.

The concept that this is the exact reason that a free populace SHOULD have guns is beyond him. If you’re going to invade a place like that, you need to take that into account...and ask yourself: is it really worth it?

Bill Clinton didn’t ask himself that question.

It seems like a candidate should know the audience he’s speaking to. Why would anyone running for office in Alabama say such a thing?

because like most of the GOP in this era, it’s more important to suck democrat a$$ than it is to support their constituency... IMHO....
