NATO has been in existence for more than 70 years, and we have yet to have been dragged into a single war because of it. Not one. In fact, the only time Article 5 was ever invoked was after we were attacked on 9/11.

And before someone mentions Bosnia, exactly zero Americans were killed there.

The is why NATO in its current form needs to be changed... This monlithic appraoch draws us into things that aren’t our concern and allows Europe to continue to sponge off us.

There's a lot of truth in that!

There have been many reports about this. Obviously, the Finns don’t want to broadcast their intentions lest Putin’s little green men start showing up on their lands.

Finland has an independent judiciary that recognizes the right of free speech and punishes prosecutors who violate it. You think this is unimportant.

You're letting your affection for Putin cloud your judgment.

There were US casualties.

Bosnian War 1992–1995
Combat death 1
Other (accidents,etc) 11
Total 12

We were lucky it wasn’t more!

We had no business bombing anybody in the Bosnian issue. It was done for Clinton domestic politics then for anything else.

If it was that important to Europe, then it should have been a total European affair. A revamped NATO along the lines I suggested would have made it that way.
“Damn fool things in the Balkans” are not our concerns !

Then I’m sure the Finns appreciate this kind of speculative reporting from the west. Nice going Business Insider.

I think the fact they were charged and tried is important.

That’s not a system of free speech..
That’s a system of being put on trial for speech.

You’re letting your secular humanism globalism show

One Finnish man decimated an entire Russian division.

Not much of a win if you ask me.

“Does Putin think he can fight a two front war? He can barely manage the ne he has now. At the end of WWII General George Patton wanted to reconstitute the German Army and attack Russia. Patton identified problems with the Russian military, none or very few of those were fixed.”

Excuse me, but you’re making up this sh#**t. You sound like the western media! If what you say is true why is Zelenski the clown on every media outlet possible begging for help? He reminds me of the guy on the side of the road holding up a “starving” sign. Why would he do that if he is winning??

The war with Ukraine is about to be over as soon as the Ruskies wipe out the Azov zealots in Donbas That is the 60,000 Uke troops that have been killing their own citizens for eight years. It should be over in the next 10 or so days.

As for Finland, if the report is true, I’m not sure I would want to be the one who crossed Putin’s red line. Very soon it will NOT be a two-front war. I’m pretty sure it has the chance of launching WWIII.

The nukes....the nukes.

Apparently, those shirtless Putin on horseback pics have stolen more than a few weak hearts.

Finland has a very dangerous choice.

Either way, she is going to be in conflict with Russia soon, as Russia does not acknowledge it as a legitimate state but a breakaway province.

Same with the Baltic States, Poland, and probably part of Germany. Now, Russia knows it can’t digest all that, but Scandinavia joining NATO will lead to conflict.

“Those nations at the time were not dominated by the globalists agenda”

You should read some history. Folk were much more globalist in the 1950s.

Read Eisenhower’s speech where he outlined his plan to put the American nuclear arsenal under UN control.

Yep, Ghost if Kiev also downed half of the Russian AF. Surprisingly, when the dust settled, Ukraine lost 590 aircraft vs a dozen of Russian.

Well Russia has already claimed to have shot down 130 Bayraktars, which is odd since they only bought 30.

Simo Haya lives!

Sniper extraordinaire. Prior to killing Russians he was a woodsman and farmer. A great man he was.
