Second question: When were the Ukraine’s borders with Russia drawn up and when that occurred, were they intended to be international borders (as opposed to internal state boundaries within the USSR)?
Careful, you’re gonna disturb their narrative that Ukraine has had sacred and unassailable borders for ever and ever.

Was America ever its own country prior to the defeat of the British in 1776? What is so magical about the early 1990's? Why are those international borders better than those of, say, 1774? I believe international borders should be determined by the people who currently live there, not by maps drawn by long-dead communists. If the Ukrainian people wanted to be part of Russia they would have welcomed the Russian soldiers as liberators, as Putin said they would. That has not been the case, so obviously the Ukraine does not want to be a part of Russia. For that matter, if the blue states wanted to secede from the US I'd say good riddance to bad rubbish, even though I live in a blue state myself and would have to move.

And whatever atrocities, real or imagined, could be stopped at once by Zelensky. He doesn’t want to stop them. If it requires sacrificing everyone in the Ukraine, so be it. He’s got his nice mansion in Florida. Soros takes care of his puppets.
Propaganda is Zelensky’s only job and he is at it full time. Putin should waste him and let Ukraine get someone who has time to negotiate a surrender.

What a stupid thing for Zelensky to say and won't be the first or the last time. He should have thought higher of all human life before he began opening his yap ....and continuous doing so while Ukrainian's and Russians die in his country daily.

Zelenski is a puppet of the West. He has no control over the Ukrainian military, Azov Brigade and other nationalist paramilitaries, or the various armed civilian gangs marauding throughout Ukraine, settling scores, and committing general mayhem (and probably war crimes).
It wouldn't end anything. There's been a war going on in Ukraine for the past eight years that nobody in the west has paid any attention to until a little over a month ago.
