“Putin cultists are very appreciative of Biden.”

With Biden as POTUS, the bureaucratic state has no check or balance on its activities.

That means, there are going to be regime changes in certain places around the world.

Perhaps, Biden as POTUS was a bureaucratic state regime change here.

There’s no surprise that Putin would be thinking he could be next.

“Now the east is wrapping up, Mariupol and Azov are nearing a fall.”

Yup. September 21 is inching ever closer. Putin will probably have things almost all wrapped up by then.

As much as I respect you, I cannot agree.

To me the biggest tell of this war so far is that the Russians are beatable.

My Cold War Hat—which I wore proudly as a warrior in that epic—told me taking on the Russians would be the hardest enemy we every fought. And honestly, yes, American troops were afraid of them. We’d have done our duty, but if you ever spent time on the frontline in West Germany you knew you were ONLY a tripwire. The Soviets were all Ivan Drago.

Maybe they really were back then, but now I see they are miles from that.

I don’t think anyone can say who will win. It’s wait and see every day.

Satellite images show bodies lay in Bucha for weeks, despite Russian claims.

Check the weather: Ukraine has been mostly cloudy. Have you seen a single photo with a blue sky instead of white? Optics cannot see far through a cloud of water droplets. It's reasonable to assume aerial drones are making surveys, but the New York Times claiming space satellites are reliably doing that is an obvious lie, a childish appeal to high-tech authority. How stupid do they think we are? Wait, don't answer that.

Especially when the Ukrainian authorities put in place curfews that shut down the saboteurs completely a few times.

Looks like we got another FReeper who is kissing dictators’ butts. What is Zelensky to you, anyway? You making money off this or something? Or just an NPC who believes what the TV tells you?

--- "No doubt military planners worldwide are taking notes."

An interesting observation. No doubt also that radicals the world over are taking notes. Wonder what was in the 85 billion dollar "haul" the Taliban got?

--- "What an out and out revisionist buffoon you people have become, even accusing the US of typical Russian tactics, without blushing or shame."

The 89 day bombing of Serbia was something Clinton and NATO managed rather nicely. So "tactics" are something many sides have mimicked.

Yeah, sometimes I blush for America, especially under Biden. When a "pro-America crowd" demands "unity" as Biden's speeches have declared, I think consideration of what those words mean is in order.

What makes you think that Russia has sent his best and brightest and best equipment into the Ukraine? They have it all they’ve done they’ve been working with all the equipment old and that’s basically disposable because they have new equipment ready to go. This could very well be a rope a dope to make the United States and Europe think that that’s all that they have.

Ah yes, the Lend-Lease program. A time when American manufacturing was king. Good thing we still have that capacity should things turn sour!

...oh wait.

Really. It reminds me of how Obama armed ISIS. With one stroke ISIS became the best equipped army in the region.

The parallel to the Afghanistan exit is that the Taliban got MORE than did ISIS.

[it’s also been definitely proved that MASSIVE amounts of materials, supplies, arms and equipment that the U.S. shipped to the soviet union was INSTRUMENTAL in preventing the complete collapse of the soviet union and enabled them to go on the offensive ...]

Even with US food aid, millions of Russians starved to death. Without that aid, the outcome for the Russians was unthinkable.
