On Monday, former Republican and ex-congressman Joe Walsh fabricated a Tucker Carlson quote on Twitter. It immediately caught the attention of Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans who hope to see the Fox News host canceled.

Walsh attributed the following statement to Carlson: "What if these bodies of tortured, dead civilians were staged? What if they're fake? What if the Ukrainian military killed them and then blamed Russia? I'm not saying any of this is true, I'm just asking the questions. Why can't we ask these questions?"

The quote repeating Russia's propaganda and denial of war crimes in Bucha, Ukraine, instantly went viral. On Reddit, a screenshot of Walsh's post has nearly 60,000 upvotes with thousands of comments decrying what users believe are Carlson's traitorous views. But Twitter is where the fake quote found currency among powerful and influential figures close to the Democratic Party.

Tucker has been the best in the media who is on our side. This entire thing was a fabrication.

Journalism actual began in America as a means to push particular political agendas. As political parties developed, newspapers often either fellow-travelled, or were outright founded by the parties as their mouthpiece. The notion that the news was independent, unbiased, and totally trustworthy is a product of their own modern propaganda (sort of like Hoover’s successful campaign to make the public believe that the inept, corrupt FBI was super-competent and pure). IMO, the “Fairness Doctrine” was a tool for pretending media was fair. I prefer Caveat Emptor to “managed” free speech.

I don’t think Joe Walsh is a leftist now. He just doesn’t like that game Tucker is playing.

My governor murdered a bunch of old folks in the nursing homes across the state because he thot the hospitals might get full. Made the old folks homes take in highly contagious patients when the owners of the old folks homes said they couldn’t handle the contagious patients and the governor threatened to close them down. I doubt the guy (wolf) even has a bad feeling about what he did.
