China leading citizens to jump from balconies in quest to achieve ‘COVID Zero’
NY POST ^ | April 9, 2022 | By Steven W. Mosher

For over two weeks the financial capital of China, Shanghai, has been locked down tight. Some 26 million people languish in their apartments, staring at their now-empty refrigerators, unable to set foot outside to forage for food for fear of arrest and incarceration.

Day 16 of our COVID lockdown in Shanghai today and food is the key thing on people’s minds. We aren’t allowed to leave home so delivery is the only way I was up at 6 am yesterday trying to get any kind of delivery but nothing was available all day. So far, same results today

The unlucky ones are those who test positive for COVID each day, like the 17,077 Shanghainese Wednesday. Symptomatic or not — and nine out of 10 show no signs of illness — they are hauled off to hastily erected quarantine camps.

The Shanghai lockdown, the largest since the first Wuhan lockdown two years ago, is China’s latest attempt to achieve COVID Zero. An army of health care workers, some 38,000 in all, have been sent to Shanghai, with instructions to completely stamp out the coronavirus within the city. They are frantically testing and retesting everyone.

Unable to protest their lock-up any other way, people have taken to venting their anger by yelling out of their apartment windows. Most of their complaints have to do with food. “We have no food to eat,” they scream. “We haven’t eaten in a very long time. We are starving to death.”

Other protests have taken more tragic forms. As they did in Wuhan two years ago, people are once again jumping off the balconies of high-rise apartment buildings. One video circulating in China shows a couple falling to their deaths. The husband was said to be distraught because the lockdown had cost him his business.

Those desperate enough to venture outside in their search for food are hunted down by “Big Whites” — members of the security forces who owe their nickname to the white hazmat suits they wear. Patrolling the streets day and night, the “Big Whites” arrest and jail anyone caught breaking quarantine, who often get beaten in the process.

Those sent to mass quarantine camps for testing positive for COVID have it scarcely better. These makeshift facilities often lack basic necessities. One video from Shanghai’s Nanhui camp shows people fighting over limited supplies of blankets, water and food.

No one, not even small children, is exempted from the quarantine rule. Hundreds of infants and toddlers have been separated from their parents after testing positive. As one grieving mother complained on social media: “I’m so upset … This is inhumane.”

Like China’s previous efforts to contain the highly infectious Omicron variant, this one too is doomed to fail, although not before extracting an enormous cost. The dimensions of human suffering comes through in some of the videos posted by the suffering residents.

As these stories suggest, China has unleashed yet another COVID Horror Show on its population. But why?

hard to find a thread on covid to post this on...but this is HUUUGE in Australia. AFL is Australian Rules football:

11 April: news.com.au: Sunday Footy Show hosts link Ollie Wines’ on-field heart issues to vaccine booster shots
Hosts of Nine’s Sunday Footy Show have made a controversial claim about Brownlow Medallist Ollie Wines’ health issues.
by Frank Chung
TWEET: Metacus
Sunday foot show AFL edition speak about vaccine injury. Hopefully people are waking up.
CHANNEL 9 VIDEO 1m40s

“Watch this space at this stage, nothing coming out of the Port Adelaide team this morning,” Barrett said.
“His subbing out of the game on Thursday night for nausea slash heart reasons, he spent time in hospital — it’s just a big unknown as to when he will play again. It may be as soon as this week but nothing coming out of the club at this stage.”
That prompted Brown to ask, “Is there a lot of this going on in world sport at the moment, Damo? A lot of athletes have got these issues?”

“Are you referring to the booster shots and the contracting of Covid?” Barrett said.
Brown replied, “I was referring to the booster shots, that’s obviously the word going around.”
“Look, it’s being discussed,” Barrett said.
“I haven’t been able to get an official line on that from anyone attached to Ollie Wines at this stage, but yeah, the question is being asked and put to me and others, including yourself, by a lot of people, about the possibility of that.”...

“Exactly, heart issues and Bell’s palsy has gone through the roof since the boosters and Covid issues,” Lloyd said.
“We had (sports journalist) Michelangelo Rucci on (3AW) on Friday night and he said that there’s a ward in Adelaide filled with people with similar symptoms to Ollie Wines – nausea, heart issues – so there has to be something more to it.”

Jones then stressed that “we’re not anti-vaxxers”.
“We’ve all done our due diligence with our booster shots and all that sort of stuff, but there is going to have to be some study done on this, not just in a sporting sphere but like a community,” he said...

Myocarditis and pericarditis are rare inflammatory heart conditions associated with Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines.
According to the medicines regulator, myocarditis is reported in about 1-2 out of every 100,000 people who receive either vaccine, but is more common in teenage boys at 12-20 per 100,000 and men under 30 at 8-18 per 100,000.

As of April 3, the Therapeutic Goods Administration has received 1992 reports deemed either likely or suspected myocarditis and 3825 reports of likely or suspected pericarditis.
“Myocarditis and pericarditis can occur after a booster dose but this is rare,” the TGA says in its most recent safety report.
“There is no indication that these events are more serious than after earlier doses.”...

It comes after other athletes have spoken out about heart issues after vaccines.
In January, Swiss Olympic sprinter Sarah Atcho revealed she had been diagnosed with pericarditis after her Pfizer booster shot.
A month earlier, former Aussie basketball star Ben Madgen also said he had been hospitalised with the condition.

All of Red China is “locked down” and just one big concentration camp though the Western liberals refuse to acknowledge it.

As for Xi, he couldn’t give a damn about “his people” jumping out of windows. Less to feed is his way of thinking.

Welcome to the “workers paradise”, which in English is known as “marxist Hell”. To American Democrats, this is known as “our future society”.

November 2022 and 2024 can’t come fast enough for me.

Revenge and retribution are best served at the polls, first, and them by grand juries. Want a job for life, apply for federal grand jury duty in any Democrat dominated state. There will be plenty of work for you to do in cleaning up and out the corrupt Dems/Marxists/psychopaths and their drooling toadies like Brian Stelter, Joy Reid, etc. at the media who spread Communist/Clinton/Obama disinformation to America.

Pelosi - Jail
Schumer - Jail
Biden - the psych ward
Obama - the firing squad
Hillary - the isolation cell for life
Gore - isolation on an Pacific island where the waters slowly rise and he has no way off of it
Fauci - a lifetime job assignment at a leper colony in deepest Africa
Wallensky - On another island nobody ever heard of or can find
Any California Democat politician - a one-way ticket on the new SS Titanic.

ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN - eternal damnation of writing and speaking only to themselves

“And the list goes on”!

China is an absolute monarchy with kinder and gentler titles. It needs a few martyrs to get the ball rolling. In 1911, a motley group of revolutionaries set off on a mission to topple the ancien regime. Many understood this to be a one-way mission. But they went anyway. Most died and ended up in a mass grave.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Guangzhou_Uprising

Within a year, a regime that had lasted hundreds of years had collapsed in an orgy of mass killings where the victors butchered hundreds of thousands of the losers, while losing tens of thousands of their own.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1911_Revolution

The logic of large scale mass exterminations launched by the ancien regime during earlier abortive revolts meant the incomplete extirpation of the key sources of power of the former rulers was unthinkable, given the possibility of counterrevolution.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nine_familial_exterminations

Stephen Platt’s work “Autumn in the Heavenly Kingdom”, covers a period in Chinese history around the time of the Civil War when a revolt in China killed estimated 20m people, 2/3 of the combined antebellum North and South Civil War-era population (~30m). In it, he describes scenes where imperial troops would rampage through regions designated as rebellious and literally kill every living person they found. A persistent theme in the book is the immense personal talent of the jumped-up peasants who launched and led the revolt, and came within striking distance of the throne, but lost and died to a man.

postscript:

whilst I say this story is HUUUGE, it was broken on a TV footie show that would have the entire FakeNewsMSM talking for days, if one of the panel said someone’s wife was a dog or similar. no-one is mentioning this.

plus, Frank Chung is a top Murdoch news.com.au writer, yet you have to scroll down their homepage, past endless Ukraine/Putin “stories”, dozens of sensational sexy “stories”, etc., before you get to the Chung article near the bottom of the News page.

shame on the MSM.

The problem in my view is that communism seems to have the effect of removing from the gene pool those with character and/or those with the guts to fight.

Look at Russia which is still a slave state despite having their chance at freedom with the “fall” of the USSR.

Combine this with a surveillance state, and I do not see any possibility of revolution in China.

These people have already been thru a lockdown. Why in the hell did they not stock up after the first one?

Because people are stupid. I have friends and relatives who might last a week if everything shuts down. Been trying to tell them for almost 20 years. Normalcy bias will kill a lot of people. Even people who have just been thru it are back asleep.

Successful revolt was a long time coming. The House of Aisin Gioro held sway for almost 300 years, almost as long as the Romanovs in Russia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qing_dynasty

But in the interval, the regime absorbed massive hammer blows and stayed standing:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revolt_of_the_Three_Feudatories
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiping_Rebellion

The successful rebel is characterized by indirection and guile, because the straightforward and forthright are quickly identified and eliminated. Then you have to get financing*, be very, very lucky *and* get the timing just right. This kind of serendipity occurs perhaps once a century.

* In a different life, the guy who got financing for the successful 1911 revolution could have been a bulge bracket Wall Street banker. While rebuffed by Wall Street itself, he pitched anyone who would listen, and did manage to line up the cash required:

http://sunyatsenhawaii.org/2008/09/02/financing-revolution-sun-yat-sen-and-the-overthrow-of-the-ching-dynasty/
[As a result of a series, of letters and meetings, Sun was united with four very different men. Homer Lea was a Stanford graduate, military enthusiast, and a hunchback whose personality was as unusual as his posture. Charles Boothe was a former New York banker forced into retirement because of ill health. W. W. Allen was a successful Wall Street financier and childhood friend of Boothe. Last, there was Yung Wing, a Yale graduate and elderly reformist leader living in Connecticut. Together, these men formed an American syndicate in March 1910 and drew up a detailed plan to overthrow the Manchus. The whole project involved more than $10,000,000 dollars. Sun naturally took the office of president and commanded the whole proceeding. Lea was the “commanding general” in charge of all military operations. Boothe became the “sole foreign agent” and was responsible for much of the overall coordination of their activities. Allen was the essential contact with Wall Street money, and Yung acted as the mediator between the revolutionary groups in the United States and those in Asia. 57

These five men acted out an intriguing plot to finance a revolution. Offering concessions similar to those already mentioned, Sun and his entourage came surprisingly close to pulling off this deal. Early on, Lea had raised more than $1,000,000 dollars in cash and had obtained promises of another $1,000,000.58 In February 1909, Allen was confident that he had found a group that would lend the revolutionaries the needed cash.59 In reality, the money never materialized. Allen did meet with J. P. Morgan, American financier, a number of times, but Morgan could not be convinced. A Morgan representative gave at least one reason for not offering the loan: “I am ready to do business with any established government on earth but I cannot . . . make a government to do business with.” 60

Sun was undeniably disappointed with the outcome. He had once even told Lea that “all our hopes are pinned on the American plan.” 61 This was certainly not the case, however, for Sun had other ideas for obtaining a large loan and was involved in negotiating a series of credit schemes. One of Sun’s methods of obtaining a loan was to arrange for a unique system of collateral. In attempting to get a loan of $500,000 from an English bank, Sun offered as guarantors a Chinese bank, three rice mills in Bangkok, three mine owners in Malaya, and some Singapore merchants. He calculated their cumulative property to be worth ?,000 ‘000.62 This was an ingenious way of taking advantage of T’ung-meng-hui members and other supporters who had businesses but were unable to provide cash.]

Stay out of cities and prep.

I’m wondering why they are doing this now.

They’re certainly not going to be able to convince anyone Covid is a threat at this stage of the game.

Unless they just want to reduce excess population.

These people have been locked down, $hot up with multiple “vax”s. More so than most any other country.

It’s about instilling fear.

no comment and no debate.

btw, Frank Chung’s news.com.au piece does allow comments but, because of the way the piece was relegated to the bottom of the News homepage, it only has six including, of course, someone suggesting these footie commentators should lose their jobs for saying what they said!

Chung’s article needs to come to the attention of the couple of politicians willing to bring up the adverse reactions to the jabs.

AND the Australian govt needs to stop pushing the boosters/jabs, especially for the very young, NOW.

As these stories suggest, China has unleashed yet another COVID Horror Show on its population. But why?

To gin up the fear on this side of the pond, that's why.

And the sheeple are falling for it.

Three universities (Georgetown is one) reinstating mask mandates.

Philadelphia likely to issue an indoor mask mandate TOMORROW.

A lot of Chinese liberals refuse too. On NPR this morning they interviewed someone in Shanghai. They were still in denial about being in a totalitarian state, and thought their little lockdown was just a minor aberration from their socialist utopia.
