With a little chemistry knowledge, there is NO need to put any ethanol in small engines, and at a price no more than regular auto gas.

Just note that ethanol doesn’t bind with with gasoline. In fact, it has a much higher affinity for water.

Using that knowledge, get a clear container - I use a 5 gallon jug from Walmart, with a cap. Pour about 2-3 gallons of gas in the jug... and then pour about a liter of REGULAR WATER in.

Mix well. It will be mixed and cloudy.

Wait about 2 days, and the water separates from the gasoline, WITH the ethanol! Siphon out the water/ethanol.

You’re left with a good quantity of ethanol-free gasoline!

Great idea! Makes a lot of sense. Reminds me of my school days when we'd use acetone to rinse the water from our chemistry experiments.
