“consumer electronics with lead solder”
What? All electronics use lead solder.
All electronics use lead solder.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Most all products legally for sale in the U.S. and EU use lead free solder.
No doubt the Chinese dollar store products cheat....
Not anymore. The Eco-Nazis said that Lead is Bad and that it must be replaced in electronics. So most newer devices are made with Tin and have all sorts of problems with the solder breaking, shorting, etc. Lead solder electronics isn’t even allowed to be sold in the European Union anymore, so most manufacturers stopped using lead
Look up “electronics tin whiskers” for more info about the problems the replacements cause.
Your stupid brat might eat it.

No. Rohs has been in effect for a long time.
And it sucks cause the new stuff does not melt easily.
Oh, and the whiskers of death.
Shhhhh! You’re not supposed to notice things like that! They’re trying to scare you, and they don’t want you to be confused with the facts.
