Just recently I had to put my beloved dog Penny to sleep.
I am ready to rescue another, but the vetting process is taking a couple of weeks. (More time to adjust, I guess, but whatever)
My point is that I had to fill out a detailed questionaire about what would be the best dog for me:
Size,
Weight,
Temperment,
Indoor or Outdoor,
Crate or Non-Crate,
Housebroken or Not,
Age,
Medical Condition,
Breed,
and:
SEX. There were only two listed, male or female.

My condolences to you and your family . They do become a family member . Clan . Tribe . Pack . Same thing . Like you we have only had boys or girls . Boys acted like boys and the girls were feminine and squatted to pee . Boys cocked a leg and showed it to the world . Reminds me of my Great Grandson . When I take it out and dribble on some clover in the pasture the boy takes his wickerbill out and squirts 20 feet away .
