A steel factory would be a legitimate military target.
Having the most vulnerable bunker down therein is evil.

The rule set by countless Iranian surrogates is that civilians mixed with military can’ be attacked.
With the civilians there, attacking the steel plant is genocide and a war crime is there is any body caught to be prosecuted.

There’s a mix of Azovs from inside Ukraine and mercenaries from outside (French Brits, U.S., etc.) that are cornered in a steel mill with underground tunnels and bunkers. They were given a deadline of yesterday to come out. Don’t know the very latest.

It is a legitimate target. And the Ukrainian “defenders” are using them as human shields and thereby committing a war crime equivalent to PLO/Hamas/Hezbollah.

From the Russian side I heard an estimate of 2000 total, including 400 foreign fighters.
I don’t think they started with more than 800 Azov there. There are many other regular units there, more than the marines that surrendered.
I doubt there are any civilians down there unless they are held.

Its absolutely not true. There are no civilians inside a giant steel works, and no civilian retreats with combatants to their hold-out bunkers
Despite the propaganda, Russia has always allowed corridors for civilians. It has been one of the key points discussed with Zelensky over the last weeks. But the Azovs defending Mariupol know their situation - and are holding civilians (particularly if they are hated Russian speakers) as human shields.
It could be where they are holding Russian prisoners.
