A possible solution is to call the IRS agent handling your case and ask them to cite the statute requiring you to file a tax return. Not the IRS code, but the the actual statute on which the code is based. The IRS Code on not the law; the statute is the law. For most people who work in exchange for money, that statute doesn’t exist. If you can find it, you would be entitles to about a $300,00 award. Many have tried; no one has been successful, including a number of IRS employees.
