As someone who thinks Border guards should be shooting at invaders, not sure what to think about this.
This guy was a victim of his own governments rhetoric.
They are not poor benighted refugees. Outside of the children being drug behind the adults, they are criminals, opportunists every last one of them. Each deserves not a scintilla of sympathy from us - only a swift boot in the ass back where they came from.
His body has been found. Prayers for his family.
Just a damn shame all the way around. The only upside to this is that he gave his life for others whether deserving or not.
I haven’t been able to avoid wondering it they did something to him. The river isn’t very wide where people generally cross, from what I’ve seen on television. Were there any nearby witnesses to what happened?
