And when you put money in the bank, it is, as a matter of law, the bank's money. You retain a claim on some of the bank's money, but the money is not yours.

Pretty much, although I'd say it's not as a matter of law, but a matter of legality.

Our so-called 'legal tender' is not money, it is just a loan from 'federal' banksters, a result of the fractional reserve bankstering system.
