.........this “attitude” has been prevalent amongst “government school teachers” for a long time and is why my children went to private schools.

Today, one is a CPA and Controller for a large company and the other owns his own construction company. Both graduated from the same major university. Government schools should be closed.

I'm a retired “government school teacher”, and I can assure you that I never had this “attitude”.
The U.S. Public School System was an incredible idea and it was the envy of the world for a long time.
That all ended when Jimmy Carter got his Department of Education.
Like everything else the communists touch, America’s schools under the DOE, quickly turned to chit.
