“Senate” and “career” are two words that should never be put together.
The founders wanted citizen statesmen to give up some of their time in service of the people and then go home and resume their lives and careers.
Incumbency is a plague of mindless name recognition and reciprocation for perceived power.

I so agree. I’ve pushed for term limits since I was old enough to vote. These bloated, wealthy, corrupt career politicians are ruining our Republic.

If Texas can do that, so should Washington. The Texas Legislature only meets every other year and is far more productive than the selfish, destructive scumbags in Congress.
