Is there any truth to Biden’s ‘leaked’ S-400 offer to Turkey?
Yeni Safak ^

The American administration did what they always have done when they don’t want to engage openly in certain matters.

They leaked to the press what they wanted everyone to know but could not say openly.

I’m talking about the S-400 offer made to Turkey that would see Ankara delivering the S-400 batteries it purchased from Russia to Ukraine, in return it will be returned to the F-35 program from which it was removed.

This is the offer that was leaked.

It is obvious that it is an unreasonable offer, but it is also clear that the American administration used the process that began with the Russian invasion of Ukraine as an opportunity to twist Ankara's long-untwisting arm and made such a move.

I talked about these Western reports with my Ankara circles who were in contact with the U.S. administration, but there was no response that denied or confirmed the claim.

As far as I know, such a proposal must have been communicated to Ankara in one or more of the talks held after the start of the Ukraine war, however, not in an official capacity.

Erdogan to inform Biden there’s no return to Cold War era

...

“The world cannot afford another cold war. It will be costly for everyone. The Ukraine war has already caused enough pain, suffering & killing. It must stop. Turkey will continue its efforts to end this war. Peace is hard but not impossible. We all have to believe in it.”

Turkey isn’t an ally, and shouldn’t be in NATO.
Erdogan is Islamic trash.

Rather, Turkey is a fake ally. They play both sides of the fence to their own benefit. Their real interest is returning Turkey to hegemony over the middle east, and they will curry favor with anyone they think will help them do that.

Agreed. Didn’t they just send military forces into Iraq last week?

So glad we went to war with Iraq, it’s way better now...
Same for bombing Libya.

One thing that is interesting is that Turkey also has historical claims to the Crimea and Eastern Ukraine, and older claims than Russia has. I don’t think they have any designs on reclaiming that part of their old empire though.

Yep, they are using the situation in Ukraine as a distraction so they can slaughter the Kurds in Iraq. They know that the US will not intervene right now because we cannot afford to lose Turkey’s assistance in the Ukraine situation.

“Leak”? This has been the offer since well before the war. The only change is the S-400 systems go to Ukraine. The purchase of the S-400’s was the sole reason they were cut from the F-35 program.

I’ve always thought it was weird that Turkey was a member of NATO, but this conflict has justified their membership, at least in the mind of the European Globalists and their buddies in the deep state. Imagine if Turkey had been rolled up into the Soviet bloc. They would be NATO’s Ukriaine.

Turkey is no ally of ours. They are duplicitous, and have loudly proclaimed that their real loyalty is to Islamists, the more radical the better.
