The blind following of doctrine leads to that. If your doctrine requires you to believe that ‘birthing people’ can be men, then that is what you proclaim. Any testimony or evidence to the contrary must be ignored/quashed.

Stalin did the same thing with the teachings of Lysenko. Lysenko’s theories matched Communist ideology so Stalin based decision on them, not on reality. Millions starved as a result.

Doctrine is preventing the radical democrats from seeing reality. Hopefully they’ll pay at the next elections.
