I would have thought they were already in the “depths of despair”.

My advice to transgenders is to not parade your transgenderism to the general population and above all to be respectful to everyone and don’t expect to be “understood” by everyone.

I remember a young boy forty five years who claimed to be Fonzie from the TV show Happy Days. Hid family played into his delusion. He irritated everyone till he finally grew out of it.
Some people just don’t want to grow up as it brings attention to themselves.

Good! It is normal for these people to kill themselves by suicide. They are mentally ill, and encouraging them to believe they are something which they are not just adds to their despair.
If we are not going to actually help them, the best thing which can happen is for them to die quicker so that society won't have to deal with them.
