If the idiot Russians employed basic OPSEC they’d be fine. Frigging Al Qaeda cave men understood this.

In the 1980s the Russians were taking out American aerospace engineers, etc. The Democrats didn’t belief in Star Wars but the Russians did...

The Democrats gave the green light to Russia to take Ukraine a long time ago, they just didn’t want it to be on their watch. They aren’t goading the RussIan’s into a war, it is stupid to even suggest that. Russia started the war, plain and simple. Russia was not attacked by NATO, it was not attacked by Ukraine. Russia did 100% of the attacking.

This is info from the New York Slimes and the Biden Oligarchy. Who is foolish enough to believe them now when they ALWAYS LIE. My goodness, we don’t even know how many battle ready tanks the Russians have!! Our UNintelligence agencies are too busy spying on housewives at school board meetings, white supremists, global warming and domestic terrorists.

Maybe Russia should have thought about such repercussions when Putin was poisoning political opponents living in other countries, eh? Didn’t he worry that might cause a country to retaliate against such terrorism?

I suspect Russian generals are like American bank vice presidents.

It is cheaper to give out a fancy title than a fancy salary.

it was obviously US intel fed for targeting, at a minimum. anyone with a brain knew this was the most obvious (or almost only) possibility.

the bragging, like the air defense bragging, is to goad russia into escalatory action.

I am expecting leaks at some point about how we helped sink the moskva and target the attacks in russia.

agreed.

the story about us feeding real-time data for their air defenses seems to complicated? simpler to just have the US run the whole thing.

May very well be that… But having said that… If for whatever reason it becomes a shooting war between the United States of America and Russia, I would not be surprised if a good component of Free Republic were to, say, 30-40% take up arms against the United States or urge resistance to USA on behalf of Russia simply to “own the Libs” and that stupid Sleepy Joe Biden is now the commander in chief… By the way they talk the Deep Shtate Jewish Space Lasers nonsense combined with FSB talking points here, 24/7

I thought the Putinist line was that all these “dead Russian generals” were Ukrainian propaganda lies? If there are no dead Russian generals how does this matter?

Or are you saying there really are dead Russian generals?

In my humble opinion I think a significant percentage (not all!) of that component here are honest-to-goodness Russian trolls.

The depth and reach of the Russian trolling op is truly impressive.

If you haven't seen this article, it is fascinating:

The Russian command structure is pretty clear, and they dont seem to have an oversupply of generals in command of their operational units. All the officers identified as killed had a proper assignment that matches western norms.

That is, Divisional commanders, Army commanders (a Russian Army is a western Army Corps), Assistant Army commanders, Army (Corps) Chief of Staff, etc. They dont have generals commanding battalions. There are plenty of ID’d dead majors and Lt. Colonels and Colonels identified as commanding their battalions, regiments and brigades.

The Soviets did, but I dont think Russia uses that rank anymore. It still seems to be on the books though.

“My money says we have US military on the ground, in buildings over there controlling a lot of things including drones.”

During the Viet Nam war, I was permanently based in the Philippines yet spent most of my time in VN on “temporary duty.” I didn’t count in LBJ’s daily report on Walter Cronkite of how many troops were in VN. The U.S. plays a lot of tricks with troop counts. Zero may mean thousands.

Or maybe the Ukrainians are real fast learners of US tech..

In some cases developers in Ukraine created the tech. There may also be Ukrainian Pollards, busy at work just like Jonathon.

I want to respond “Capt. Obvious” but the CINOs are in such strong denial of reality that I now believe compromised mental capacity to be an effect of the virus (and/or the ‘vaccines’).

Regardless, it’s now one of my ‘3 questions’.
