Doe Alabama primaries go to a run off if no one gets 50 + % ?
If they do go to a run off, maybe all those who do not chose Britt the first time will again vote against Britt the second time. If she’s really bad, and that is the scenario all the 3rd, 4th ext positions need to back the second position against Britt.
Things that make you say Hmmmm...

Yes, A majority is needed to win.
Canvassing of returns and certificate of election; determination of majority; runoff elections.
(a) Commencing at 12:00 noon on the first Tuesday after the election, the municipal governing body shall proceed to open the envelopes addressed to the governing body which have been delivered by the returning officers to the municipal clerk, canvass the returns, and ascertain and determine the number of votes received by each candidate and for and against each proposition submitted at the election. If it appears that any candidate or any proposition in the election has received a majority of the votes cast for that office or on that question, the municipal governing body shall declare the candidate elected to the office or the question carried, . . .
(b) If a single office is to be filled at the election and there is more than one candidate running, then the majority of the votes cast for the office in the election shall be ascertained by dividing the total votes cast for all candidates for the office by two, and any number of votes in excess of one half of the total votes cast for all candidates for the office shall be a majority within the meaning of subsection (a).
And only those who voted in the first election can vote in the second.
Persons entitled to vote in primary runoff elections
(a) If an elector votes in a primary election, he or she may vote in a subsequent primary runoff election only if he or she voted in the primary election of the same political party for which the runoff election is being held.
Katie Britt-The Greater Mexico-China Chamber of Commerce Candidate.
Brooks is the only credible candidate. Durant is a total fake and Britt is a Shelby RINO/Big Business meatpuppet.
Ping!
I’m sticking with Mo.
I’ve been seeing Britt signs pop up all over my county. She’s spending a ton.
I don’t care. I’m still voting for Mo.
“I’m sticking with Mo.”
I hear ya. I have supported him for years. I remember sitting in a car and listening to his rally after the 2020 election where he was speaking out for Trump and the stolen election. Mo was MAGA before there was MAGA.
Unfortunately for Mo he made a clumsy mistake and lost Trump’s endorsement. At one time Mo had this election in the bag or o it seemed. Then he screwed it up. I like the guy but he is not the greatest politician. Part of me thinks that anyone that could screw up going from 1st place to 3rd place like that doesn’t really deserve my vote.
While I prefer Mo I could live with either Mo or Mike Durant. I will watch the polls and decide later who I will vote for. I will probably cast my vote with the goal of ensuring Britt doesn’t get in.
Britt has never done much of anything politically that I can tell except staff work for Shelby who I never thought much of. Her slick commercials and the sound of her voice makes me wanna hurl. I don’t trust her.
Remember that Shelby was once a Democrat.
“Remember that Shelby was once a Democrat.”
Oh yeah. I know. Britt has been flooding the airwaves with commercials. She has seemed to have an unlimited amount of money behind her. Now she is in 1st place?
Hopefully there will be a runoff.
I, too, am voting for Mo.
Durant - most mailed campaign materials (junk mail) - where’s his money come from? - no
Britt - endorsement from the Business Council of Alabama and her being annointed by Shelby - no and no
Brooks - DJT withdrawing his endorsement threw me, but he must have good reason and a strategy - like for his endorsement of Dr. Oz in PA, who I would never vote for; although Mo’s saying what he said about election 2020, also threw me, I am hopeful that he was testing the waters when he made that comment at the Trump rally in Cullman - and boy did he get a response! - best option of the three (R) candidates
IMHO
Me too, I’m still voting for Mo. Trump should not have withdrawn his endorsement. He should have just talked to Mo and got him to at least talk up ballot security issues. It looks sorta bad to withdraw an endorsement. It was like the “You’re fired” bits on the apprentice.

Yes, there was an avalanche of election fraud that swung the 2020 election. Yes, Republican congressmen should have made more waves about it.
Gotten three large mailings - glossy print on cardboard postcard type things - against Durrant. I will NOT vote for him - began hearing his support was from never - Trumpers before these mailings arrived. Britt is Shelby’s protege’, and Shelby is establishment. Brooks is our only choice.
Worked for Shelby. Will be another Shelby. Boooo. Not really any good choices. Gonna hold my nose and vote for Mo
Roy ain’t running this time?
No. He is getting a little old. With the Roe V Wade issue way up in the air, with him in the race the ads would have been non-stop and over the top from the pro-choice side. Don’t know why we can’t have good solid conservative with pro-American values running in Alabama, Somebody owns all of them.

While I prefer Brooks, she is not as bad as Durant who is a Romney style moderate.

“That Evil Karl Rove PAC is running attack ads for HER .”
You talking about the Austin Texas based “AlabamaRINO” PAC?
