Biden, Dems despise Elon Musk now and hope antitrust claims can derail his Twitter takeover
FOX News.com ^ | May 10, 2022 | Liz Peek

Elon Musk, Time magazine’s 2021 Person of the Year, is under attack. Why? Because he is bucking the liberal establishment and wants to make sure that you can too.

The FTC is reportedly reviewing Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, possibly setting up a lengthy investigation of potential anti-trust issues with the acquisition. A probe which could delay and possibly torch the deal if investors get nervous and withdraw their support.

We should have seen this coming. The Joe Biden White House – and their leftist allies in the media and the Democratic Party -- will stop at nothing to prevent Musk’s takeover of the important social media site. Why? Because the billionaire entrepreneur advocates for free speech.

Their opposition tells us how extraordinarily threatened they are by dissenting opinion, and the vice-like grip they have over the flow of information in our country.

For most Americans, this is shocking and unacceptable. Freedom of speech is one of the constitutionally-protected rights that have defined our country through the ages and distinguished it from totalitarian regimes like China and Russia. That we now have a government attempting to squash that right is horrifying.

Lest you think we’re exaggerating, recall that Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security issued a terrorism bulletin in February highlighting possible dangers stemming from "domestic threat actors" disseminating "mis- dis- and mal-information" about "widespread election fraud and COVID-19."

"Disinformation" that might include, for instance, evidence that Covid vaccines do not prevent people from becoming sick with the virus, contrary to Joe Biden’s promises, or that some shots carry risks – the kind of information that has gotten people banned from Twitter.

Who knows how far these jerkwads will go. Murder? Assassination?? They’ll have their brownshirts do the dirty work.

This shows how far we’ve fallen. Musk, a centrist democrat is being attacked because he wants to impose neutrality on big tech. As far as I am concerned there are only 3 democrats left-Gabbard, Sinema, and Manchin. The rest are communists, anarchists, and dictators!

Musk has no other properties in social media. He makes electric cars, batteries, solar panels, rocket ships, financial services, etc. Acquiring a pre-existing company cannot possible fall under anything whatsoever to do with a monopoly, unless Twitter itself was already a monopoly, which it really isn’t.

Anti-trust could never succeed against this purchase. Musk owns no other media companies at all.

Musk knows exactly what they are doing and from what I have seen of his actions and words, he’s not intimidated by it at all.

Even the negative press he is receiving seems to be energizing him, and he certainly isn’t holding back on asking the questions about who is pushing and funding this anti-free speech agenda.

I agree. He seems to be having some fun with the whole thing. I suppose that is as good a use of his ridiculous wealth as anything, right? Promote free speech -- which is a massively more important and noble task that just giving away money -- and amuse yourself while doing it.

Win-win!

If they can find a technicality, they’ll stop it. Even if it’s unjustified, they can tie it up in courts for years.

Clintons and Obamas are lawyers first, above and beyond all other designations.

Liberal 'elites' believe in 'free speech' for themselves and believe FBI thugs should target and label us 'domestic terrorists' if we dare to speak our side... Thugs.

Anti trust based on what?
Any such action has close to ZERO chance of succeeding. And Musk has the money and the toughness to fight them.

I think if the rats use the FTC to block this it will backfire on them big time. It will be an obvious abuse of power and it will cost them.

Any attempt to block it by the FTC will end up in court, and Musk will win.

Maybe Musk colluded with “the Russian” or committed “insurection”
Doesn’t matter because the left just makes crap up.
And the media propagandized reality and the fbi sets up innocent people.
