For the past few weeks, western European politicians have been worried about what will happen if Russia wins the war. However, now they are concerned about something else: what might happen if Ukraine really wins.
This is reported by the publication Politico, referring to officials of Western countries. "Ukraine's recent success in ousting Russian troops from some of the Occupied Territories has prompted leaders from France to Germany and Italy to conclude that a once unthinkable victory for Ukraine is now quite possible," the report said.
In particular, European politicians are thinking about the fact that the "humiliation" of Russia as a result of the victory of Ukraine, which was previously announced by French President Emmanuel Macron, can create a number of new problems.
Western European leaders are seriously concerned that Ukraine's victory could destabilize Russia. In this case, the aggressor country will become even more unpredictable, and Europe's goal of normalizing energy ties with it will become even more unattainable.
"That is why some Western European capitals are calmly in favor of a solution to the conflict that will "save face (Putin – Ed.)" even if it costs Ukraine some territories," Politico journalists note.
In their opinion, the leaders of the three countries – France, Germany and Italy – are probably trying to put pressure on Ukrainian politicians in the issue of dialogue with the Russian Federation. In particular, they say that a cease-fire is necessary for peace talks, but the complete withdrawal of all troops from Ukraine by the Russian Federation is out of the question.
"While they emphasize their support for Ukraine, the fact that the leaders of the three largest EU countries have taken almost identical views on peace talks, while Kiev has an advantage in this fight, suggests that the trio is trying to put pressure on Ukrainian leaders in the negotiations," the report said.
Such calls by European leaders to negotiate with Russia are contrary to US policy.
It should be noted that Ukrainian officials have repeatedly stated that any concessions to Moscow regarding our territories, including Crimea, will open the door for future attempts to invade Russia.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, recently the president of Ukraine said that some leaders of European states who are trying to become mediators in negotiations with Russia, offered our state to make concessions on sovereignty issues. Vladimir Zelensky said that they are acting incorrectly and Ukrainians will not give up their territories in order to "save face" to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
In particular, Zelensky spoke about Macron, who believes that it is dangerous to "humiliate" Russia. The Ukrainian President noted that the French leader, trying to become a mediator with the Russian Federation, failed to achieve results.
And Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that if Russian dictator Vladimir Putin wants to "save face" in this war, then he should look for how to do it.

You shouldn’t interrupt their literal fantasy world. This stuff is better than the old Sunday comics, but after what they got away with Covid, its not surprising
I’d guess that there is at least a 50% chance (probably more) that Russia would use a tactical nuke if it faced defeat and humiliation by Ukraine. They’ve already said this was an existential issue for them, their red line because they consider it a threat to their national security.
It’s hardly surprising Euro leaders are starting to sweat over the possibilities of this arising and are considering negotiations. Only the idiots Biden and Boris Johnson are dismissing this possibility.

I’m basically saying the same. The possibility of Ukraine actually winning is next to zero, so the European leaders don’t have to worry about it.
Next up Odessa. And unless Ukraine QUICKLY gets to talking, seriously, with Russia, they’ll lose their last sea port.

True, but there is more. The Ukies are ( were) getting much of their war fuel from Romania, but Vlad took out the rail bridges carrying fuel east of Odessa.
Seems Vlad was able to severely restrict fuel ( and arms, ammunition) from Poland getting to the Ukies…Romania ( as in WW2 ) was tasked with shipping it to them…not anymore…..down to a trifle….
…and Vlad says “ Checkmate “ again, slowly but surely.
