Well it can survive in the air for a while and there is known “close” contact aerosol vector transmission. The WHO is repeating the narrative that it’s only “large droplets” that go short distances and don’t last long in the air. This group of researchers would have a different view.

These researchers used monkeys to show it very much can go from vector to vector via the air. Not at all surprising since it’s a cousin of small pox and small pox is absolutely aerosol airborne with a R0 in the 4s

The CDCamd WHO are doing there best to not spark a panic. Monkey pox has the potential just like small pox to go pandemic of a strain can do air vector transmission. Given that there are now 40+ cases in Spain, 13 in Canada and 9 in the UK plus one in Mass who just came home from Canada this shows community spread has already happened. Not all of the cases are gays although the media is pushing the gay narrative. Monkey pox unlike covid also has a proven formite vector just like small pox it lives on surfaces, bedding ,clothing ect. The next person to handle those objects is inoculated as soon as they touch them and then inadvertently touch a mucous membrane. The average person touches their face, eyes, mouth and nose over a thousand times per day. The CDC and WHO better contact trace hard and fast and isolate everyone who so much as passed by one of these cases with real quarantine. On a side note the US govt just bought a large stockpile of small pox vaccines today.
